Tech 21 Richie Kotzen RK5 Signature Fly Rig v2 Multi-effects PedalThe Richie Kotzen RK5 Signature Fly Rig was developed in close collaboration with Richie, whose input was invaluable. Meticulous about every facet of his playing, singing, songwriting and tone, Richie’s attention to the details of his RK5 was nothing less.
Since the debut of the original RK5 in 2014, Richie’s needs have changed, both on and off the road. Therefore, they jointly developed a version 2, to incorporate some new features and follow the same form factor as later Fly Rigs, such as the Bass and Acoustic.
The RK5 v2 retains the same delay with tap tempo, a powerful boost, and Richie’s Signature OMG overdrive. New features include an independent reverb with choice of room size, a rotary speaker mode, compression, fuzz, a tuner, headphone capability and an XLR Output.
Another difference is an on/off button for the SansAmp section. Richie previously would use his RK5 both with and without the SansAmp engaged. Currently, it’s either on or off during stage shows, so he no longer needs a dedicated footswitch. When Richie’s on tour with ever-changing backlines, he’s always able to get his tone, and at lower volume. On Richie’s latest releases, The Damned and Riot, all the guitars were recorded direct.
If you’ve seen Richie on tour in recent years (and if you haven’t, you simply must), you may have noticed he uses two RK5s. He has continued this practice with Version 2 so he can quickly switch between different settings of each of the effects.
Richie is actively involved and responsive in the entire design process. Having both a working and personal relationship with Richie, is a tremendous highlight in their history.
BOOST + COMPRESSION
BOOST is an independent pre-Boost for solos, up to approx 12dB.
COMP Switch engages old school, all-analog, FET-based technology from the ‘50s and ‘60s, which is inherently warmer, more transparent and more musical than other methods of compression.
OMG OVERDRIVE + FUZZ
OMG is based upon the Richie Kotzen Signature OMG pedal, which provides a wide range of overdrive, from clean to aggressive. You can add personality to a clean amp or use it for extra punch with a dirty amp tone. Controls include Drive for the overall amount of gain and overdrive, and Tone with specialized voicing for adjusting the high-end and mid-range.
FUZZ Switch changes the character and attack of the overdrive to a fuzz-style tone, making it thicker and woolier.
SANSAMP
The all-analog SansAmp technology enables the RK5 to run directly into mixers of recording desks and PA systems, as well as augment your existing amplifier set-up. It can also be used to record directly and enhance previously recorded tracks. The SansAmp section of the RK5 includes 3-band active EQ, and Level and Drive controls. It focuses on clean tones within the tube amplifier sound spectrum. To dirty things up, you have the flexibility of using the Drive control, the Boost function, or you can add overdrive from the OMG section. Or all three. Each method achieves different tones.
REVERB + TUNER
Independent footswitchable reverb features a single, continuously-variable control. It provides a smooth, full sweep to easily dial-in the amount of reverb desired. Choose between large and small “room sizes.” Chromatic Tuner is operable via the REVERB/TUNER footswitch. You simply hold the footswitch down to engage the Tuner, which simultaneously mutes the signal path.
DELAY + ROTO WITH TAP TEMPO
DELAY is voiced for the sounds of a vintage tape echo. It features Time and Repeats controls and dedicated Tap Tempo footswitch. There’s also a Drift control which adds a random, unpredictable element to the modulation in keeping with its vintage roots.
ROTO changes the Delay function into a rotating speaker effect. Tap Tempo then controls the speed. Just like the real thing, it will ramp up from slow to fast to gradually reach a new speed. Drift then controls the distance of the virtual mic to the rotating speaker. At maximum, it adds a tremolo-like effect by modulating the volume in sync with the tonal modulation.
Features:
• 1/4-inch 1megOhm input
• XLR output with ground lift
• 1/4-inch low impedance output
• Headphone button switches the 1/4” output into headphone mode
• Rugged, all-metal housing

The really work!
Bought these or a friend with severely dry cracked feet. The change was significant and immediate. They wore them around the house for a day and that night they could already feel the difference.

Fabulously bizarre and effective
These silicone socks have to be the strangest item I have ever ordered from Amazon. However strange they are, I was pleasantly surprised with them.
My order came with two pairs, and I took one pair out to wash before use. I laughed at handling them then because they were a cross between hospital socks and leftover mannequin skin…trippy.
The socks dried fast, so I put on foot lotion and put the socks on. The socks are beige skin tones that cover the entire foot up to the ankle, basically booties.
The silicone is very soft and makes putting on and taking off the socks easy. They are also surprisingly easy to walk around in because the bottoms have grips, again, like hospital socks. I walked on tile, hardwood, and carpet with no slipping. The booties also stayed in place with no issues.
I was concerned my feet would sweat, but that didn't happen. I was able to wear them for 3 hours without sweaty feet.
When I took them off, my feet were a lot more soft than before or if I had used regular socks. For reference, my feet are not terrible, but the skin around my toes is dry and peeling from my picking(gross, I know).
The socks I got are a size large, which worried me because they are big, but the site said for my shoe size (9) that's what I should order, and they were right. They are the perfect size and stretchy for room.
I can't believe how cool and well-thought-out these socks are, on top of working. Honestly, these are among the top 20 favorite items I've ordered from Amazon. They may look incredibly strange, and they are, but they work wonders.

THE DOG TREATS SO GOOD EVEN PHOEBE KNOWS THEY ARE FROM A WINNER
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 6)
These Wonder Bound pig ears are absolutely INCREDIBLE. Truly one of the greatest dog treats ever created. People come up to me and they say, Sir, my dog has NEVER reacted to anything like this. And I tell them, of course not. These are REAL pig ears. Not the fake tiny pieces you get from weak companies. These are STRONG ears. Beautiful ears.
Now I do not personally eat pig ears. Everybody knows this. I have a tremendous diet. Very refined. But DOGS, they understand things on a deeper level. Dogs know QUALITY. Dogs know WINNERS. Some people don’t, but dogs do.
And Phoebe. Very smart dog. People tell me she is one of the smartest. Incredible instincts. She saw this bag and immediately knew it was the BEST. Not good. Not great. The BEST. She did the excited thing dogs do. Very respectful. Very appreciative. Some say she even endorsed it. I’m not saying that. But many are.
She took the ear and ran like she had just made the greatest deal of her life. Tremendous speed. Very athletic dog. Very loyal. And she chewed it with POWER. You could see it in her eyes. She was thinking, This is from a winner. Dogs sense that. They really do.
The size is perfect. Not small. Not flimsy. A whole ear. The kind of treat a DOG OF DISTINCTION deserves. It keeps them busy, focused, and happy. Very important qualities. And let me tell you, Phoebe looked extremely satisfied. People saw it. They said, Sir, that is a dog who knows success.
Five stars. Would buy again. If I were a dog, which I am not, I would ONLY eat these. They are THAT good. Just ask Phoebe. She knows.

Jake the Chocolate Lab Can't Tell You- But He Liked Them.
Size: 1 Count (Pack of 6)
I suppose that I should give you the details of my experience with the product. They came in a quality, resealing bag. I actually ordered this item from the Amazon page.
I got them for my parents' dog Jake- a three year old chocolate lab. I hid one in my hoodie pocket and he began zeroing in on that area after a few seconds, wondering what was in my pocket. It may just be me, but if you aren't familiar with pig ears- they don't stink or anything like that. Yes, they are actual pig ears. But they contain pork and are a decent snack for dogs every now and then. In retail we would always sell out of pig ears.
I took the pig ear out of my pocket. Jake took it in his mouth and proceeded over to his bed area where he licked the pig ear for about a minute, probably because it is salty. I don't wish to find out. He then carefully munched down on it and took a short drink of water. He then proceeded to run over and tackle me (as he is wont to do). Oddly, his breath did not stink.
I bought these as an alternative to rawhide. Two decades ago I got my parents to stop buying rawhide (about as gross as beef 'pizzle' and instead buy pig ears and deer antler chews. He seems to like them, and if they aren't causing an issue I don't see why Jake can't have one every now and then, especially when he behaves.
